A Stunning Makeover at 78

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Suzanne, who is 78, went to Christopher Hopkins, The Makeover Guy, with the goal of looking feminine, stylish and radiant. We have been wowed many times by Christopher’s magic, but this makeover has to be truly one of his most transformative! Christopher shows how he turned her sparse thinning hair into a stunning hairstyle, and found the perfect clothes and look that helped Suzanne achieve her goal in the most stunning way.

At first glance one would think Susanne, 78,  would be easy to shop for. But with a short waist, full hip, long neck and flat back, finding clothes is much more difficult that you’d think. Sparse, thinning hair was balanced with scalp concealer, back combing, and a small bang piece. Yoked, bloused and blouson tops, shoulder pads and flared ankles were the perfect balance to full hips. High collars, turtlenecks, and a choker with V-necks helps with a long neck.

Meet Christopher Hopkins – The Makeover Guy. “The makeover: It absolutely inspires me. Improvement and response. Thrilling. At three years old I was obsessed with the hair of my “Tootie” doll. This miniature doll, packaged in a plastic cameo, had a tiny body and very long hair. It was perfect for little hands to hold and style. I spent hours on that thing, bobby pins everywhere. Later I graduated to my sister’s Barbie dolls. You could do more with clothing for them because they had full figures for which you could create tissue paper and Scotch tape fashions, complete with stickpin earrings.”

Today Christopher is owner of reVamp! salonspa, in Minneapolis. He done makeovers on the “Oprah Winfrey Show” among other media outlets. His first book, “Staging Your Comeback, A Complete Beauty Revival for Women Over 45,” has helped improve the looks and the lives of thousands of women.
