Valuing Our Beauty and Worth as We Age

Glow(ing) Tomatoes. We were so excited to collaborate with Anne Akers, the Publisher of Glow Beauty Magazine to bring you last week’s fabulous event in Greenwich Village.  If you missed the event, we’re sharing the highlights but it’s impossible to describe the special feelings the event created. It was the start of a very important conversation about aging, beauty, and valuing age in our society.  We had wonderful feedback from attendees saying it was a special bonding experience.

We started our evening outside on the patio at the Greenwich Music House, and the “Glow” of the evening was enhanced by the amazing Italian boutique wines we enjoyed from VE Raimo Brands.  The wines included Pigato from the Sancio vineyards in Liguria on the Italian Riviera.  And we had a wonderful Prosecco Extra Dry from the Costaruel Vineyard, that is the official Prosecco of the Ferrari Formula 1 racing team.

We screened Elizabeth Browning’s film, “The Face” which was the inspiration for our event.  The screening was following by our panel of experts and moderated by Cheryl Benton and Debbie Zip.

What a superb collaboration!!   Your joint event last night was extraordinary…An amazing film and such a diverse and insightful panel, offering up different points of view.  It was thought provoking and personal.  Plus what great women attending in such a beautiful space! Thanks for bringing a great evening to so many great women.  – Leslie Grossman

Thank you so much for the most wonderful evening – the wine, food & garden setting were fun, but gave no hint of what a stimulating, informative evening was ahead of us.  I loved it all, especially the warm feeling in the room, demonstrated by the way strangers were speaking with each other after it ended.  It was truly a bonding experience.  – Stephanie  Sloane

Thank you so much for an extraordinary and wonderful evening this past Wednesday. I was honored and thrilled to be able to share my film with that amazing group of women, and to have the privilege of being a part of a very important and life changing discussion about our beauty and our worth as we age. You have created something that is truly magnificent and of great value to us all. It was an evening of real substance, meaningful reflection, and celebration in being a woman!  – Elizabeth Browning
