Bring it Home

The best sleep is when you feel as though you have left your body. This is the kind of sleep you often experience when you are on vacation in the mountains, by the sea, or in the country. Ideally, that is how we are meant to sleep all the time. Many hotels and resorts will have freshly cut flowers placed in your room. This is something that you can bring home, awakening your senses with memories of your restful time away. A Feng Shui rule for good sleep and good energy is to take notice when the flowers begin to wilt, because they must be thrown out immediately. Dying flowers or plants bring in a negative energy, so be vigilant in caring for your flowers. Keepsakes from your trip that have wonderful memories attached to them can be displayed in your bedroom. Close your eyes to visit your happy memories, inhale deeply, and smile as you feel all your tension drift away and your eyelids get heavy with sleep.

A Result of Irritants

Pearls have been a powerful symbol throughout history and their allure is timeless. Historically, they have adorned the crowns of kings and queens. Besides their beauty, they are held in high esteem for their healing properties. Pearls have been known to promote serenity, purity, love, and clarity, emotionally mentally, and spiritually. The precious pearl forms organically within shells like oysters and mussels deep in the ocean. Its formation begins with an irritant such as a grain of sand, which the organism protects itself from by secreting nacre around it. Layer by layer nacre surrounds the irritant until the beautiful pearl is born. Representing infinite beauty, pearls are truly a gemstone like no other. It is the June birthstone, and holds a special place in history, culture, and jewelry design. The power of pearls lies within the individual who wears them. Since it is a porous material, it absorbs the energy of the wearer and carries this energy- it could be strength, kindness, curiosity, love or even sadness. Embrace the infinite beauty of pearls and find inspiration in the stories these magnificent gems carry.
