Tomatoes in the Vineyards Trip #15
Last Saturday, Sept. 30, we headed out to beautiful vineyards of the North Fork of Long Island in a luxury bus with 56 Tomatoes (including a few Mr. Tomatoes.) This year’s trip sold out in less than 48 hours. And despite the fact that the day before the trip we had record breaking rainfalls, everyone showed up the next day. And while there was a little rain, we were warmed by the friendships and of course, the wine. This year we visited 3 vineyards: Pindar Vineyards, Pelligrini , and Osprey Dominion. Cheryl Benton, aka the “head tomato” is founder and publisher of The Three Tomatoes, a digital lifestyle magazine for “women who aren’t kids”.
