Pierce Bronson and Martin Short to be Honored

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

An important evening featuring two beloved performers.

I have a question for you. Would you like to meet Pierce Brosnan? Okay, it is truly more of a rhetorical question, then one that demands an answer. Of course you would!

Well, your chance to meet Mr. Brosnan has come. On November 8, Pierce will participate in an evening event to benefit The Chemotherapy Foundation. The event will take place at AMC Empire 25 Theatre, 234 West 42nd Street in New York.

The Chemotherapy Foundation is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1968 dedicated to the control, cure, and prevention of cancer through innovative medical therapies, and provides seed money to researchers to facilitate breakthrough science aimed at a specific therapeutic goal.

One of the honorees of this evening is, you guessed it, Mr. Pierce Brosnan himself, along with the hilarious comedian Martin Short. Both these acclaimed performers will receive Humanitarian Awards.  The recipient of the Medical Science Award is  Dr. James Holland, Professor of Neoplastic Diseases, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York City.

The evening will also feature a screening of the film, Walk on the Wild Side, an award-winning documentary highlighting profiles of the pioneers in oncology, and the real-life survival story of Director Germaine McCormack-Kos.

Titled Working Together to Overcome Ovarian Cancer, the night begins at 6 PM with light refreshments in the lobby, prior to the program’s 6:30 PM start.

A reception with wine and food will follow, providing the opportunity to meet all the honorees.

I am very proud to say that I will be the emcee for this special evening.

Please join us on November 8.
