April 23. Hymne to Love is a Must-See Cabaret Show

The New York Times calls International, multiple award-winning performing artist, Yael Rasooly,  “Inspired wackiness.” In her new show Hymne to Love, The richly decadent worlds of the 1920s and ’30s in Paris, Berlin and New York are on dazzling display in this performance by Rasooly and Pianist, Daniel Rein. They are joined by the one and only queen of chansons, Edith Piaf, as a human-sized puppet virtuosically animated and voiced by Rasooly.

The cabaret tells the stories of the back streets and alleys, — stories of longing, humor grief, love, passion, resilience and dreams in the fragile and powerful interval between the past and the future.  Collaborating with pianist, composer, and music director Rein, Rasooly creates absolute magic on stagee.

Roving with the Bunnies and Chicks

Our roving photographer, Nicole Freezer Rubens writes:

The classic New York City restaurant Serendipity 3, best known for its elaborate frozen hot chocolate dessert, has been taken over by a Peeps pop-up!

The adored, brightly colored marshmallow candy bunnies and chicks have spread out throughout the building exterior, dining room, and menu, adding a festive Easter holiday vibe to the kitschy, retro interior. The atmosphere was designed to satisfy a sweet tooth, make people happy, and of course provide ample instagram backgrounds for endless adorable photos.

Additions to the classic menu include Peeps Cotton Candy Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, Peeps Belgian Waffles, and a Peeps Dirt Sunday, all topped off with the iconic treats. This fun and delicious, delightful dining experience can be enjoyed through Easter this Sunday, April 20th, only at the 225 East 60th Street location. Make a reservation to indulge or simply walk in and peek at all the Peeps. Happy Easter to all!
