It was an eerie few days in NYC with the smoke from Canada. Here’s to clear skies ahead. It’s a big weekend in the city and Valerie Smaldone reports in on the Tonys, the Puerto Rican Day Parade, and National Rosé Day. Our Broadway Babe is back with some fun entertainment. And our roving photographer is nostalgic about Quebec (pre-wildfires.)

Our Broadway Babe, Randie Levine-Miller has posted some fun nostalgic finds including: A historical Oprah Winfrey show with the entire original cast of the Mary Tyler Moore show; a fabulous compendium of musical theater show stoppers with the original performers appearing on the Ed Sullivan show; a Lerner and Loewe special that aired on NBC TV over 60 years ago; as well as a PBS documentary about Cole Porter whose birthday would’ve been June 9. WATCH NOW.

Roving in Quebec

Our roving photographer, Nicole Freezer Rubens writes:

“In solidarity with the outrageous smoky skies this week, resulting from the raging wildfires in Nova Scotia and Quebec, I share with you photos from a recent retreat to Quebec. Right before the fires erupted there was not a cloud in the air. May this picture-perfect blue sky return soon to all so we can breathe a sigh of relief. “
