And you are invited to learn how to navigate Art Basel/Miami Art Week this year.

George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® | Miami City Ballet

The Miami City Ballet’s production of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®, always turns out to be a magical experience for the whole family even though the South Florida dance company creates a winter wonderland despite the lack of snow. They are very innovative.

It’s wonderful that Miami has been able to capture the holiday spirit with this captivating display of Balanchine’s choreography performed by over 100 dancers against a background of spirited Tchaikovsky music, dazzling costumes, and glimmering sets.

Many people who live in Miami have never seen snow. It’s an amazing treat for families to  see the stunning South Florida version of this classic piece, snowflakes and all!

 Sunset Soirées

You can now night swim at the rooftop bar of CitizenM . Located on the 11th-floor, this open-air venue offers a panoramic skyline at the new CitizenM hotel.

This is going to be a whole new experience, midnight swimming high above the maddening crowd.  It will be dark, it will be quiet, it will be a pleasure to be in a bathing suit without having evil eyes staring at me. Seriously, I can’t wait to swim around a pool with the moon shining down on the water and the night lights dancing all around me. It just seems so meditative.

The rooftop pool and bar are located at the CitizenM hotel at the Miami Worldcenter. The promotional materials promise panoramic vistas of the Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay greeting you wherever are on the rooftop. The open-air setting feels as though it was made to be the city’s hottest new outdoor destination (alongside the WorldCenter’s relaunch of Juvia.)

The new rooftop bar opened this week. A few more push-ups and I will be there.

The Most Luxurious Holiday Vacation in Miami

The Biltmore Hotel is one of the most glamorous resorts in the world. It’s a one stop shop for dining, spa treatments, sports, beauty, fashion and relaxation. The architecture is glorious, and the pool is the largest one you have ever seen.

You can check in before Thanksgiving and stay though New Years Eve and I can guarantee you will not get bored. The hotel provides a variety of activities every day that will keep you super busy.

By the way, if you want to take  a break from the hotel, you can take a short ride to Merric bookstores’ exquisite luxury open air shopping mall; Books & Books, one of the best book stores in the country, the Coral Gables Art Cinema, movies you can’t find anywhere else, an array of restaurants and boutiques on the Miracle Mile and two stage theaters that have shows on weekends, Gable Stage (on the grounds of the hotel)  and the Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre.

You couldn’t ask for a better set up for the holidays. It may cost you a bundle but not as much as flying off to some exotic destination.

Art Basel Will Be the Most Exciting Ever

The Fountainhead Experience membership program is for those who want to see the world differently and develop intimate relationships with artists and art appreciators. This season, Fountainhead members will be immersed in the local landscape, with behind-the-scenes tours of private collections, artist-led experiences, and more.
