Lady Penelope: Talking to Myself

Talking to Myself

Talking to myself is just the best!

I never interrupt before I’m through.

Opinions and facts I don’t contest.

Why would I?  All the things I say are true!

The sound of my own voice is so darn pleasing.

I always take my fabulous advice.

Offenses?  There’s no need to be appeasing.

I shan’t offend myself – to me, I’m nice.

Once in awhile I do notice an echo

That makes me realize what I just said.

An awful gaff or brash bravissimo

Will make me doubt the voices in my head.

There is no chance I will be contradicted,

Unless with pain you’d like to be inflicted..
