There’s a Scent Fair…not Science Fair…a Scent Fair! Wow!  How cool is that?! The always-free Hammer Museum loves shining a light on alternative forms of art and starting today they are hosting the AIX Scent Fair with international fragrance makers, activities, workshops and panel discussions that will thrill your senses.  And they don’t forget the kids either with their perfume making Scent Lab for mom and kids on Mother’s Day.

Finding a signature scent is definitely an art form and perhaps you might just find yours at this heavenly sensation of a fair. You could walk away with your own unique tomato scents.

May 8.  Those Magnificent Moms
LA Life: Mothers & Mother Nature, Fairs, Music

Tomatoes, you gotta love it when a Mom and her kid perform together. “Those Magnificent Moms” is the theatre’s biggest variety show that features many UCB Franklin Theatre performers and their moms.  Check out Fiona Landers with her magical & very talented mom Murphy Cross, one of our favorite tomatoes…tomatoes.

A totally uplifting way to spend Mother’s Day with other tomato moms and their kids. UCB is the Upright Citizens Brigade of Amy Poehler fame and considered an improv mecca. The LA Weekly says it’s “The epicenter of comedic influence in Los Angeles.”

May 10. Chamber Music with Brass

LA Life: Mothers & Mother Nature, Fairs, Music

Chamber Music… and wine.  What could be better on a Tuesday evening than beautiful music and wine.  Very talented members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s brass section will be performing with chamber music from different era’s. It’s time the LA Phil and Chamber Music tooted their horns tomatoes.  Toot! Toot!

Enjoy the wine reception prior to this special performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall
