Tomatoes, if you are still trying to ignite your Christmas spirit then a visit to Aldik Home will do the trick. The Hammer is back presenting 10 nights of their 10 favorite and most influential films of the year.  LA is having its 2nd annual “Mac n Cheese Smackdown” where local chefs devise the cheesiest, creamiest mac and cheese dishes in town and “Go Little Tokyo Holiday Marketplace” is back for a second year as well tomatoes.  And it is time to “Bring on the Joy” for this holiday season gals so “Bring it!”

Remember Marlon Brando’s famous movie line… “I could a been a contendaah!” Well ladies, MOMA has selected ten 2016 films for their special film series that they totally believe are “contenders” that will stand the test of time long after their release date.

There are a couple surprises but in this humble tomato’s opinion, this selection of film features, carefully curated by the Museum of Modern Art, will hold up and remain innovative and historically significant in the movie world, and that’s a monumental accomplishment by a filmmaker. 10 films on 10 nights with the filmmakers and actors joining the celebration. Free admission to the museum and the tickets are very reasonably priced.  See for yourself tomatoes.


Dec. 3-4. Go Little Tokyo Holiday Marketplace

 Tomatoes you do NOT want to miss tasting all the creative and mind boggling delicious versions that some of LA’s best restaurants have on Mac and Cheese from truffle-laden macaroni to a fiery jalapeno variety. And yes, there’s a mac and cheese option for vegans, too, for you veggie gals.  Just to be clear ladies, “smackdown” means delving mouth first into the glorious world of this ultimate comfort food.  Have at it!


 Dec. 3-4. Bring on the Joy

 Angel City Chorale (ACC), the celebrated Los Angeles choir led by Founder/Artistic Director Sue Fink, fires up the holiday season with “Bring on the Joy” Holiday Concerts and Sing-A-Longs for 2 very special evenings.  Don’t ya just LUV holiday music ladies?

 And now you can literally sing-a-long with the diverse and talented 160+ member choir and 25-piece live orchestra. Wow!  This amazing choral exploration, from ACC , features Classical, Traditional, Spirited Contemporary, and Gospel R&B. In addition to popular American Christmas carols, African, Chanukah, Celtic, Medieval, Beatbox, Pop, and British vibes. Boy they cover the gamut ladies. The diversity of the program represents the rich tastes and talents of the choir. Director Sue Fink says; “There is a rare feeling of connection at these events among the diverse participants – the positive energy generated is palpable, like a booster shot of joy: it hits you right in your heart.” Sure sounds like a great way to bolster your December mood tomatoes.
