Farm, Food, Arts, Ecology

How is this for an amazing amalgam of greatness: a farm, food, arts, and ecology, all rolled into one spot.
That spot is a property a couple of hours beyond midtown Manhattan in a place called Damascus Pa. It is the Farm Arts Collective and it is a location where you can actually breathe fresh air, enjoy a farm experience, participate in unique workshops, and see live theatre.

A wonderful day trip out of town, the Farm Arts Collective is also a theatrical venue and is presenting the world premiere of a new play, Blue Valiant by writer and director Karen Malpede. A story centered around the healing powers of a horse, this play is bound to be a poignant and beautiful presentation. And did I say it is live theatre??
For more information about the Farm Arts Collective and their presentation of Blue Valiant, starring Kathleen Chalfant and George Bartenieff, go to Blue Valiant.
Tickets priced at only $25 and performances are May 29 and 30 at 7:30 PM.

To hear my conversation with Karen Malpede, listen to Bagels and Broadway with Valerie Smaldone, Sunday at 2 PM on WNYM Radio. Podcast available after broadcast.
