A Healing Space Comes to Northern Westchester

Katonah is a charming hamlet within the town of Bedford, located in Northern Westchester County. The village features unique shops and eating establishments with easy access to Metro North’s Harlem Line train that speeds passengers to New York City.

And now, there is a new business that has cropped up in Katonah,  fashioned to not only be a wellness center, but also a spot for the community to gather and learn about how to live a more holistic, healthful and purposeful life.

Founded by licensed acupuncturists, board-certified in Chinese Medicine, Amy Hausman and Eliza Hunsinger just opened the doors to their beautiful, new facility, Be Well Katonah.

The two dynamic women, who exude incredible positive energy and warmth, each had their own private practices in the Flatiron District of New York for many years and both lived in Katonah. They did not know each other.

Due to the pandemic, Amy closed her New York practice to start one in her hometown. Eliza had heard about Amy, realized they both shared a deep passion for creating a community and providing optimal health and wellness to all, and reached out to her.

They eventually met, spent hours talking, then strategizing, and finally, after months and months of looking for an appropriate space, finding one, and providing all the elements that go into building a brick-and-mortar business, Be Well Katonah, an acupuncture and wellness facility, was born. It is airy and light, filled with good energy. Their wish is that anyone who enters the space take in all the positivity and good intentions that exist there.

Be Well Katonah currently offers acupuncture, massage (including pre-natal massage), Chinese herbal medicine, energy healing, sound healing and guided meditation utilizing four private and tranquil treatment rooms.  Both Amy and Eliza treat all disorders such as immune support (long Covid syndrome included), pain management, autoimmune disorders, GI issues, headaches, reproductive medicine, and internal medicine.

Now, you can meet Amy and Eliza at an open house to celebrate the launch of this unique center, Thursday, March 2 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm and Saturday March 4 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.

You will be taken by the lovely space, tour the facility, see the items they have for sale, and learn about their healing philosophies. It is well worth the trip!
