A Few Products We Love from Ice Cream to Hair Products

I’m excited to share a curated mix of a few of my favorite products  They include the creamiest vanilla ice cream ever, the most addictive truffle‑kissed potato chips, a tomato sauce that tastes straight from a Brooklyn Italian kitchen, plus the leggings I reach for constantly, the shoes that have barely left my feet, and a hair product that’s become a true essential.

The Very Best Vanilla Ice Cream

I recently discovered Tillamook Ice Cream (where have you been all my life). I love vanilla and their rich vanilla bean ice cream is becoming legendary. Tillamook ice cream is made the way ice cream should be—slow‑churned with all‑natural ingredients, extra cream, and absolutely no artificial flavors or sweeteners. Every batch starts with high‑quality milk from family‑owned farms, real sugar, and honest add‑ins like pure vanilla, Oregon berries, and hand‑selected chocolate. The result is a dense, velvety scoop that tastes clean, rich, and unmistakably real.

Their Vanilla Bean is a fan favorite because it’s crafted with real Madagascar vanilla, giving it a warm, floral sweetness and those signature specks that signal purity. It’s simple, elegant, and endlessly versatile—perfect on its own or as the foundation for any dessert.

I haven’t tried the other flavors …yet…but three of Tillamook’s most popular flavors—Oregon Strawberry, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Old‑Fashioned Vanilla—each shine for different reasons. Oregon Strawberry uses real, ripe berries from the Pacific Northwest, giving it a bright, fresh fruit flavor instead of the syrupy sweetness you find elsewhere. Chocolate Peanut Butter is beloved for its generous ribbons of natural peanut butter and rich cocoa base—bold, indulgent, and deeply satisfying. And Old‑Fashioned Vanilla remains a classic because it’s made with simple, clean ingredients that let the cream speak for itself.  It’s available in most supermarkets and is also very reasonably priced on Amazon for $5.49 (I just paid $7.49 at my local supermarket.

The Most Sinful Potato Chips

My daughter recently found Keogh’s Truffle & Irish Butter potato chips. OMG! It’s a flavor rush to your brain. These are a farm‑made, small‑batch crisps produced on the Keogh family farm in County Dublin. The brand is built around a “crop‑to‑chip” philosophy: they grow their own potatoes, cook the crisps on the farm, and use distinctly Irish ingredients to create flavors that feel rooted in place. Their lineup ranges from classics like Dubliner Cheese & Onion and Atlantic Sea Salt & Irish Cider Vinegar to more playful options such as Shamrock & Sour Cream and Truffle & Irish Butter. Each bag includes a “Spud Nav” code that traces the potatoes back to the exact field where they were grown, reinforcing the brand’s emphasis on provenance and authenticity.

Beyond flavor, Keogh’s leans into Irish heritage and storytelling. Their crisps are hand‑cooked in small batches, packaged with bright, rustic visuals, and often spotlight collaborations with local producers—like Guinness or Dubliner Cheese. The result is a premium snack that feels both artisanal and deeply tied to Irish farming traditions. We recently found them in Aldis but they are often found through specialty import shops and online retailers (including Amazon). Here’s the Amazon link.

The Best Tomato Sauce

Michael’s of Brooklyn tomato sauces are an extension of the beloved family‑run Italian restaurant on Avenue R in Brooklyn, known for classic, deeply traditional cooking that dates back to 1964. Their jarred sauces are made in the same spirit as the restaurant’s dishes: slow‑simmered, balanced, and rooted in old‑school Italian‑American flavor. The line typically includes staples like Marinara, Home Style Gravy, Tomato Basil, Fra Diavolo, and Putanesca—each made with imported Italian tomatoes, fresh herbs, and no artificial additives. The sauces are known for their clean ingredient lists and a homemade taste that feels closer to restaurant cooking than mass‑market jarred brands.

What sets Michael’s apart is the depth of flavor: their marinara is bright and fresh, their tomato basil has a gentle sweetness, and their Fra Diavolo carries a slow, warming heat rather than a sharp spice. Many home cooks use them as a base for weeknight pasta, seafood dishes, or baked classics like eggplant parm. You can find them in many major supermarkets and on Amazon too.

The Most Buttery Soft Leggings are a Steal

After you eat all the above wonderful and sinful tasting treats, head to your next yoga or Pilates class, or the gym in my favorite go-to leggings. These high-waisted leggings are buttery soft, with tummy control, and are non-see-through. They come in every size, and several colors and patterns.  I was a little concerned when the label said hand wash, but I put in the washer and dryer and they came out perfectly. A great pair of leggings at an amazing price. $8.55 on Amazon.

No More Bad Hair Days

I first discovered Garnier’s Sleek & Shine Anti‑Humidity Smoothing Milk on a trip to Miami when my hair went haywire. This is one of the brand’s most-loved frizz-control products, designed to keep hair smooth for up to 24 hours even in high humidity. It’s a lightweight, creamy leave‑in that uses argan oil to coat the hair cuticle, reduce puffiness, and add shine without heaviness. Most people apply it to damp hair before air‑drying or blow‑drying, and it’s especially effective for frizzy, wavy, or coarse hair that needs soft control rather than stiff hold. The scent is fresh and fruity, and the formula spreads easily, making it simple to use on both short and long hair. Reviews are overwhelmingly positive across retailers, averaging 4.67/5 stars from more than 4,000 ratings.  Available in most chain drug stores and, of course, Amazon.

Your Feet Will Thank You

I bought the Easy Spirit’s Glitz Ballet Flats about a month ago, and they have barely left my feet. This is one of those shoes that quietly becomes a wardrobe workhorse. It’s a classic slip‑on with a soft, flexible feel, designed for all‑day comfort rather than just looks. The taupe shade is especially versatile—light enough to feel fresh, neutral enough to pair with everything from summer dresses to travel outfits. The silhouette is simple and clean, with a rounded toe and a subtle sheen that gives it a polished, go‑anywhere vibe.

What I love most is the comfort: the cushioned insole, the lightweight construction, and the gentle stretch across the top of the foot. It’s the kind of flat you can wear for errands, commuting, or long days on your feet without thinking twice. Get them on Amazon.
