In this short but powerful video,  stylist Diana Goss demonstrates three  color combinations that instantly discount your authority, even if everything else is on point.

Number one, all black. You think it looks powerful, but without contrast, without texture, without detail, it looks flat and forgettable. Add one focal point through accessories, and total black becomes your signature, not default.

Number two, beige on beige. Safe, clean, expensive-looking, but also invisible. There is nothing for the eye to hold on to. Adapt through texture and layering, and suddenly the outfit feels intentional instead of invisible.

Number three, random bold colors. Especially head to toe. It may feel expressive, but it reads chaotic. The most powerful wardrobes usually have one strong base, and one signature color people start to associate you with.
