Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series
The Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series is one of Miami Beach’s most beloved weekly cultural experiences—a free, open‑air concert series presented by Ocean Drive Arts that transforms the iconic beachfront promenade into a live music destination every Sunday afternoon. Set between 14th Street and 14th Place along the palm‑lined stretch of Ocean Drive, the series brings together locals and visitors for an hour of music framed by ocean breezes, Art Deco architecture, and the unmistakable energy of South Beach. events.miamibeachfl.gov
Each week features a different South Florida artist or ensemble, showcasing genres that range from jazz and classical to Caribbean, Latin, and contemporary sounds. Performances have included country‑influenced sets, jazz trios, chamber ensembles, and celebrated Miami vocalists—offering a rotating snapshot of the region’s rich musical talent. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics, creating a relaxed, community‑driven atmosphere in Lummus Park, directly across from The Betsy Hotel. In case of rain, concerts move indoors to The Betsy’s lobby, ensuring the music always goes on.
Lincoln Road Farmer’s Market & Antique Market
Dates: Weekly (e.g., May 10, 17, 24, 31)
The Lincoln Road Farmers Market and Antique Market turn Miami Beach into a vibrant, sun‑splashed promenade every Sunday in May. By mid‑morning, the pedestrian mall is lined with stalls overflowing with Florida mangoes, citrus, herbs, orchids, pastries, fresh bread, and small‑batch goods from local makers. May is peak “Miami morning” season—warm but breezy—so the whole stretch feels alive with musicians, families, and locals wandering with iced coffees and tote bags full of produce. It’s the kind of market where you go for tomatoes and leave with a jar of guava jam, a bouquet of orchids, and a new favorite empanada vendor.
Just a few blocks down, the Antique & Collectible Market adds a completely different kind of treasure hunt. Vendors set out curated finds from the early 1900s through the 1970s: Art Deco jewelry, mid‑century lamps, retro sunglasses, vinyl, postcards, and the kind of quirky décor that decorators and stylists snap up early. In May, before the slower summer season, the selection tends to be especially rich. Together, the two markets create a Sunday ritual that feels quintessentially Miami Beach—colorful, eclectic, and endlessly strollable. GET THE DETAILS.
