What a picture perfect day. Check out photo album, read below about the vineyards we visited. And if you missed the bus this year, we hope you'll join us next year.
This lovely boutique vineyard sits on 38 acres of former corn and potato fields and the original 1860 farmhouse is home to Barbara Smithen and her husband who founded the vineyard in 1996. The Smithen's initially planted Chardonnay vines from Burgundian clones, and have since added Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. We’ll have our own private tent for the tasting, where we will be joined by the proprietor Barbara Smithen who will answer all our questions about the wines and what it’s like to live your dream of owning a vineyard.

Old world Tuscany awaits your arrival at the Borghese castle – Castello di Borghese Vineyard & Winery. Chosen as the BEST WINERY IN LONG ISLAND Editor’s Choice Award by Long Island Press, Borghese Vineyard has the oldest vines in this winemaking region. Pinot Noir & Sauvignon Blanc are their signature wines, along with many award winners including Meritage and Chardonnay. And The Terra Cotta Art Gallery is typically filled with interesting art shows too.
This vineyard made it to our return list, because we all loved their wines , merlots, rose’s and chardonnays, the tasting room, the outside picnic tables, the live bands, and just the fun, warm friendliness of the staff. Oh, and they rescue horses too.
And we’ll made at a stop at the famous Briermere Farm where you can buy freshly made apple pies and more.
