The Three Tomatoes spent three fabulous days and nights at Villa Cappelli in the little town of Terlizzi in the Provence of Puglia, Italy.
One word:  Spectacular!
Visit www.villacappelli.com for rental information, more photos, and products.

Villa Cappelli is on the Appian Way, the ancient Roman Highway.
Entering the courtyard at Villa Cappelli
Paul Cappelli serves us the Villa house drink, called, the "Cappelli" of course.  The secret incredients include vodka and fresh fruit.
View at the back of the villa
The gardens and a view that goes on forever.
The "castle room", one of about 20 + rooms at the villa
The wine cellar, where Paul serves Thanksgiving dinner each year for about 65 family and friends
We had a Sunday dinner at the Villa with a few of Paul's friends and family.  Everyone brought a dish.  At right, the head tomato is dazzled by the amazing feast, and buzzed on the Villa's home made wine.
In among the olive trees, are cherry trees.  We consumed the cherries right there in the olive grove.
A tour of the olive grove.
We walked to this very special little church about a mile from Villa Cappelli.  Paul had called ahead to ask them to open it for us.  It  was built in the year 1055, and the photo above is what remains of this awesome fresco behind the alter.  We get goose bumps thinking about it.
A few of the olives trees from whence comes the fabulous Villa Cappelli Olive Oil.
Who needs Capri, Positano, or Cannes when you can be the ONLY tourisits in the beautiful seaside town of Giovianazzo on the Adriatic.  Below, is King Frederick's Castle.    Yes, the Norman's were here.
Below are photos of the quaint town of Terlizzi, just a short ride from Villa Cappelli.   We had dinner at two terrific restaurants (at prices about 1/3 of restaurants in Tuscany.)
Inside Terlizzi's City Hall.  We met the Mayor too.
