Broadway and Gossip. Valerie Smaldone has the scoop on the Drama Desk Awards where Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Off-Off Broadway shows compete for honors. And Liz Smith has the scoop on Rita Wilson, actress and wife of Tom Hanks, who also happens to be an expert singer, and has a CD of 60s and 70s classic tunes.
Facebook and The Boys. Yes, Tomatoes, despite the fact that most of its over 900 million users are women, the boys at Facebook have a board of 7 men. And sad to say, they are not alone. In the Fortune 500, women hold only 15.57% of board seats, despite the increasing evidence that companies with more than three women on their board have a higher return on investment. And while women are good for the bottom line, there are actually fewer women on corporate boards today than there were 5 years ago. Now that Facebook is under close scrunity and is being criticized for its lack of board diversity they are looking to add a woman. Our question to Mark and the boys: What took you so long? What are your thoughts? Post them to the 3T Facebook page.
