Starry Nights; Fairy Godmothers; Giveaways

Remember when you could look up in the sky at night in NYC and see tons of stars to wish upon?  No?  Well neither can we.  It's called light pollution, and it's not helping your sleep either.  Eco Designer Cheryl Terrace has some tips for creating the perfect bedtime sleeping environment.  And do you still believe in Fairy godmothers? No? Well maybe you should.  Rev. Laurie Sue thinks we should all believe in a little magic, including wishing on stars.

But for most Tomatoes, you're going to need a little more than wishful  thinking  to retire comfortably some day.  Our radio show guest yesterday, was retirement expert Mark Miller.  Great advice.   Learn more about his book, "Hard Times Guide to Retirement Security," and listen in to our interview with him too.  And if you're wishing you could see the new Irish play at the Mint Theater, "Wife to James Whelan", then enter to win tickets.  Read on.

Bring on the Night
While we don't get a lot of starry, starry nights in NYC, we do get lots of ambient light at night, which is not ideal for sleeping.  Well eco designer Cheryl Terrace has some excellent advice for creating a womb-like sleeping den.  And she also likes to incorporate her practical design solutions with some magic, like celebrating full moons and understanding the power of lunar energy on you and your environment.  Read more.

Every Tomato needs a Fairy Godmother

Rev. Laurie Sue says that even at midlife, she still believes in a Fairy Godmother.  And she thinks all Tomatoes should too. "Believing in magic is essential for creating a life of our own choosing. It helps us to remember that we live in an unlimited universe where anything is possible.  It also makes life fun, and more interesting.  If you've lost hope in finding your prince, if you are feeling you need a change in careers... If you are looking in the magic mirror and hearing "you could use a little freshening up" instead of "you are the fairest in the land " ... if you are finding that those fabulous glass slippers you got on sale are too darn hard to walk in ... or if you've forgotten how to let your imagination run free and how to trust in the abundance of the universe - it's time to let magic back into your life."   Read how to get the magic back.
