Cool Travel Spots,Channeling Channing,The Music Man and More
With the temperatures soaring in New York, chances are if you're planning a vacation right about now, you want to avoid someplace hot and humid. Our travel expert Phyllis Stoller has some great tips. And we've got two fabulous post-summer trip opportunities for Tomatoes too -- one to Columbia (with Phyllis) and the other to Jordan with the spa guru, Jenni Lipa.  A little closer to home, if you happen to be in the Delaware, Maryland shore area on August 7, you can hear our favorite tenor. And if you're a Carol Channing fan, and/or a Yankee fan, read on.

Cool Summer Travel

"Today's New York Times weather map was  bright red, meaning temperatures over 90 in most of the US, with small pockets in two places which defy identification.  So how does the non-meteorologist choose a vacation in the summer, where it will not be miserably hot?  Where will hotels, theaters, public transportation, museums and restaurants be well air conditioned?" Phyllis Stoller has some great tips this week.
