Music and Food Festivals and NYC's Best Block Party We hope you are all enjoying the long weekend and the "unofficial" start of summer. As we head into June there are terrific food and music festivals everywhere, the best block party in NYC, and "mini" vacations you can take right here in our own background. Here's a sampling. Oh and if you know some cute kids, Lord and Taylor's Fifth Avenue store has a casting call. Read on.
Mohonk Mountain House |
June 6-11 We love Mohonk Mountain House and they're hosting a week of " Music on the Mountain" featuring three concerts daily. Mohonk is one of our favorite quick getaways. Located in New Palz, it's just 90 minutes north of Manhattan, but you'll feel like you're thousands of miles away. This beautiful resort was built on the deep-blue waters of Lake Mohonk in 1869. The grand 267-room Victorian castle sits on thousands of acres of pristine forest and winding trails and they have a fabulous spa too. You can do a day trip, but we warn you -- once you're there you're not going to want to leave. And they've got a three night grand getaway package right now too. More details at 3T Events.
Taste of Times Square |
June 7- Head to Times Square for a "Taste of Times Square" one of New York's longest-running food festivals, with more than 50 area restaurants participating. Admission is free, and tasting tickets are just $1.00. Get the details at 3T Events.

This traffic-free, music- and art-filled celebration fills the street and sidewalks of Fifth Avenue from 82nd to 105th street, the mile now officially designated as Museum Mile. Details at 3T Events.
