May 26 - June 1 Celebrate Fleet Week and Memorial Day Weekend
Fleet Week has a variety of events over the Memorial Day weekend, starting Wednesday May 26 with the Parade of Ships up the Hudson River. And on Friday May 28 head to pier 86 for Broadway Showcase with performances from Lend Me A Tenor, Promises Promises, American Idiot, Addam's Family, Million Dollar Quartet and Hair. June 11 - Celebrate the start of the Women's Global Movement at a reception at Hunter College honoring women whose leadership during the First UN World Conference on Women (Mexico City, 1975) empowered women worldwide to begin working together, forging a global women's movement. This reception will take place during the annual conference of the US National Committee for UNIFEM (The United Nations Development Fund for Women).
