Tweak Your Spring Wardrobe, Green Myths Dispelled; Super Tuscans; Theater Ticket Giveaway
The 40th anniversary of Earth Day is coming up this week. And certainly more of us are eco-conscious these days, then we were 40 years ago. But what's up with all the "green" products and are they really green and what the heck does that mean anyway? Our guest this week on Tomatoes in the Trenches is going to help us sort that out. The Glam Gals are here too with some great tips on updating your spring wardrobe without spending a dime. Plus our favorite Italian vintner is also Italy's and they'll be serving the wines at our May 6 pool, poker, and pampering event.  Seeing Red Over Green
Our guest this week on Tomatoes in the Trenches is eco interior designer, Cheryl Terrace who believes we need to go beyond "green" and celebrate every day as Earth Day, authentically. Cheryl says the term green is so overused and contradictory that the more she hears green, the more she sees red.The green word list goes on an on, so it's getting harder for people to decipher who and what is genuine. Cheryl will guide us through some basics this week to sort out the green from the not really green. And she will offer some tips and advice on creating an eco friendly home environment that doesn't require sacrificing luxury or beauty to be environmentally thoughtful. The Three Tomatoes have had the opportunity to visit Tuscany's beautiful winery Castello Banfi and to sample some of their many wines, including our favorites, the super Tuscans. So we were delighted to hear that Castello Banfi was just named Italy's top winery by a jury of international wine experts. Our 3T wine expert, Banfi's co-CEO Cristina Mariani May just returned and she's sharing the news with us this week. Of course, the really good news for tomatoes is that you don't have to make a trip to Italy to enjoy Banfi's wines. They're readily available here and reasonably priced. Our favorites, the super Tuscan Centines were judges' favorites too. And here's the best part tomatoes.
