Help for Introverts and Clutterers.  Plus,Theater Ticket giveaways.

"If you have to dust it, you better love it!" That great piece of advice came from Wendy Miller, aka Little Miss Efficiency on this week's Tomatoes in the Trenches.  If you need help de-cluttering, listen in on demand from our home page.  And we've got more advice from Wendy in her regular 3T column this week on getting rid of paper clutter, plus a special offer for all you tomatoes. And our event this week on behalf of the UN and UNIFEM, Say No UNiTE to End Violence Against Women" was a huge success! We had over 25 participating organizations and 150 attendees! If you weren't able to join us, you can still "Say No" by signing the official online Say No petition, right now. And if you think introverts can't network, think again. The networking guru Andrea Nierenberg has great advice for those of us who hate walking into a cocktail party. And it's giveaway Thursday and we've got a chance for you to win theater tickets. So read on tomatoes.

gabGet your files organized!
Wendy Miller is here to help us this week with those dreaded files.  "It's that time of year again, the third full week in April is always National Organize Your Files Week! Chances are you and the general population are not as excited as I am about this. But having organized files provides oodles of benefits to your space, your sanity and your organized appearance.  Files give you quick access to documents you need in a jiffy...providing you file them and can find them again."  If you suffer from paper clutter and miss seeing the top of your desk, read Wendy's great tips.  And she's got two great offers too.

andreaIntroverts can be great networkers!
The networking guru Andrea Nierenberg dispels the myth this week that networking is only for people with outgoing personalities.  She writes, "Under certain circumstances most people feel shy, reticent, or introverted. Half feel shy all the time, and others 50% of the time. We've all felt stuck in the doorway thinking, "Shall I walk into that crowded room or back to my own hotel room?" Yet the one key component of successful networking is visibility. And introverts have strengths that they can use with strategies that blend well with their personalities."  So whether you're an introvert or an extrovert, you'll find some great advice this week.

The Temperamentals - "MAD MEN meets MILK"

gab

We're giving away 2 sets of theater tickets to a new play,The Temperamentals, to two lucky tomatoes. Theater critic Linda Winer from Newsday wrote "An eye-opening chunk of forgotten political history from the pre-Stonewall '50s - wears its significance with offhand grace and an altogether endearing yet unsentimental heart.  At the center are married Communist activist Harry Hay and budding fashion designer Rudi Gernreich, clandestine lovers in Hollywood who co-founded daring gay-rights group called the Mattachines. Jonathan Silverstein's impeccably dressed production manages to tell a straightforward story with emotional lushness.  Jon Marans writes in a style that combines savvy context and ascending flights of bittersweet fabulousness."   Get the details on how to enter for a chance to win two tickets to see Temperamentals.  Contest ends at noon 4/16/10.

Here's to making friends out of strangers, and desktops we can see!

You know you're a tomato if...you'd definitely be organized if you just had more time.  But then again, you know you'd have more time if you were organized.  Such are life's quandaries when you're a busy tomato.
