When life gives you lemons, take charge, live, and laugh

Or to paraphrase one comedian, "Find someone whose life has given them vodka and have a party." These crazy times we live in have created a lot of stress, anxiety, and change for many tomatoes out there, The Three Tomatoes included. Life can sometimes overwhelm the best us. That's the exact time you need to take a deep breath and say, hey who's in charge here? We've posted two terrific articles on just that topic.

And PTA Mom, shows her serious side this week as she muses about Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and Ann Curry. (Yes, we know that sounds like which one doesn't belong.) And as we write this, there's a glow in the sky that we think is called the sun.  Although it's been such a long time since we're seen it in New York, we can't say for sure. So go out and have fun. And did we mention free and discounts? Read on.

Let's say you're stressed about money. (If you're not just skip right over this part.) Well you're going to love Cherith Harrison's article this week, because it starts with small steps to setting financial goals. Think of it as  finacial training wheels.  Read more.

summer harvest v blockGetting Organized for Change
And Wendy Miller, our organization expert, is talking about change this week too and how being  "organised" can help you deal with change. Read on for some great advice.

Head to the movies, the Hamptons, or NYC
We loved Michelle Pfeiffer's new movie, Cheri -- beautiful, sensuous, seductive--and that's just the French countryside and the clothes, not to mention the hot, hot, hot affair. Read our review. Also opening this weekend, is My Sister's Keeper, starring Cameron Diaz and based on the best-selling Jodi Picoult book. One of our tomato friends saw a preview and gave it a thumbs up, but said it was so sad she was crying into her raincoat. And
if you're out on the East End of Long Island  check out Gael Greene's favorite restaurants in East Hampton.

Need some giggles?  Head to Stand Up NY Comedy Club tonight and checkout New York comic Paul Corrigan and a gaggle of other comics.  Details at 3T Events.

Tour Martha Stewart's herb garden. Well she's not inviting you to her estate in Bedford, but the New York Botanical Garden is a close second.  Details at 3T Events.

Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and Ann Curry
PTA Mom asks "Is there such a thing as a hero anymore?  She writes "In 1976 BG (Before the Bag), I was 8 and loved Charlie's Angels. It was really the first "grown up" show I remember loving. It made me think of things like "Girl Power" and inspired my friends and me to play in our neighborhood as Angels." Read on.
