The Triple Crown, DeNiro's new joint, and shopping, of course
The Three Tomatoes were rooting for Calvin Borel this weekend to become the first jockey to win a "personal" Triple Crown. Nice guy. Disappointing loss. And while we don't have the Triple Crown winner in the horse world, we've got one in the world of lasagna. Thanks to Arthur Schwartz we have three fabulous lasagna recipes, all made with oven ready lasagna. There's no better crowd pleaser. And by the way, we've been using Arthur's "the only marinade you'll ever need" on everything lately. And we've been trying different versions too (like lime juice instead of lemon juice.) We highly recommend it. Can't believe we use to buy the store bottled stuff.
Also this week, Gael Greene reviews Locanda Verde, Robert DeNiro's new Tribecca restaurant. Will this one succeed?
