Sales abound this week and Mother's Day is just around the corner. Five Great Mother's Day Gift Ideas Our bigger feet and pancake boobs are just a few of the conditions we attribute to Motherhood. Well that, and getting older too. Kimonos Never Looked So Good We love stories about tomatoes who pursue their passions, or uncover talents later in life. Accessories designer Carol Schneider, who by day is a book publicist, started her design career when she fell in love with some vintage kimonos a few years ago on a trip to California. She loved the colors and designs and started making purses, and then reversible scarves made from 5 different kimono patterns which have now become her signature designs. She still makes beautiful ribboned purses from Kimonos and other vintage fabrics and, after she became a grandmother, added wonderful children's items made from vintage fabrics too.
