Our Great Safari Adventure Fall 2007
The roar of a lion, the trumpet of an elephant, the southern sky at night...these are just a few of the sights, sounds, and senses of the African bush.
Here we are in our land rover heading off to find the "Big Five".  The head tomato and her tomato husband are on on the left, and our tomato pal and her hubby on the right.
Now that's Mr. Big
King of the Jungle
Talk about locking horns.
Cheetah cubs, who will sadly be exctinct in 15 years or so.
Mama hippo and baby
We came upon this beautiful leopard on one of our night drives.
A face only a mother could love.
Mr. Wart Hog
A male impala
The "real" Zazu
How about these stripes?
Roaring like a lion has new meaning.
A little confrontation with Mr. Big at the water hole outside the lodge.
Dozens of elephants head to the water pub.
We encountered this beautiful creature right outside our cottage.
Mr. Lion King snacks down on the impala he stole from the Mama Cheetah.
