Who wore what best at the 2011 Golden Globes
If you thought Ricky Gervais was wickedly entertaining as host of the Golden Globes on Sunday night, you should watch the show with PTA Mom.  Her wickedly entertaining critiques of who wore what best and worst had us laughing out loud, like “Katey Segall’s dress could be the lining in a coffin.”

Color was definitely in this year at the Golden Globes.  Emerald green was a brilliant choice on Catherine Zeta Jones, Angelina Jolie and Elizabeth Moss. The “corals” worn by Katey Segal, January Jones, and Kyra Sedgwick, were a mixed bag(from “coffin lining” to “perfection”). And while you usually can’t go wrong with black, Annette Benning and Tina Fey, somehow managed to do just that. We loved that “sleeves” or arm coverings were in even for the “not quite” Tomato crowd, but what was with Julianne Moore’s “one arm” coverup?  And did the “queen” Helen Mirren get it right?  And what about Jane Fonda’s pointy shoulder gown?  The big statement jewelry of past seasons seemed to be out, unless you count Helen Mirren’s $1.6 million diamond Cartier necklace.  Now that’s a statement.  And please comment. And our favorite awards of the evening? Steve Buscemi and Boardwalk Empire, even though it beat out our other favorite series, Mad Men. Check out the photos below with our thoughts and let us know what you think.  Click on any photo to get the full image and slide show.
Angela Jolie would look great in a paper bag, and while we love this color, we just don't think the dress did anything for her. But who cares? She has Brad Pitt.We love Annette Benning, and her glasses are tres cool. But the dress proves black isn't always best for Tomatoes.Catherine Zeta Jones brings that old fashioned Hollywood glam. Love the emerald green. We're huge fans of Mad Men's Christina Hendricks, but what the heck was she thinking with that huge bow?We thought this Versace number on January Jones was a diaster. PTA Mom disagrees. We all loved her hair though.Elizabeth Moss rocked it and in our book, was the outstanding "Mad Woman" in the trio.Emma Stone is in the cherry tomato category, but we loved, loved this salmon color Calvin Klein gown. Elegant and simple. We would have liked Eva Longoria's dress better in a color. Maybe she's in mourning over the soon to be divorce,.Heidi, Heidi., Heidi. Did you think you were heading on a cruise?Sorry "Queen" Helen Mirren, but we think the overlay on the sleeve is a bit much. Love the $1.6 Million Cartier necklace though.Jane Fonda has to be the sexiest 70 something year old on the planet. But what's with the shoulder spikes were they left over from her Barbarella days? She looked staturesque and gave one of the better speeches of the night. What the heck are those curtains hanging from JLo's shoulders?Julianne Moore looks like she has a papoose hanging off her arm.Kyra Sedgwick looks perfect in this mustardy creation.Beauty Nicole Kidman looks rather bland.Everybody loves Sandra Bullock. But honestly, we jsut wanted to cut her bangs, and the dress is a snoozer.OMG. What was she thinking? And would a little makeup hurt? With a body like Venessa Williams, she's another one who can wear just about anything and look fab.We love Tina Fey, but she never gets it together for the runway. And we don't think it bothers her one iota either. She's laughing all the way to the bank.
