Meryl Streep looked elegant, and age appropriate without looking dowdy, in this custom made Alberta Ferretti.  Although we wished she had chosen a color instead of grey.
We loved Tilda Swinton in Benjamin Button, but not this Lanvin getup.
Eva Marie Saint (above) and Shirley MacLaine (below), both looked great, although we much preferred  Eva's elegant long jacket and pants look over Shirley's tux.
Goldie, Goldie, Goldie...stop trying to compete with your daughter.  You're beautiful, but way too much boob, hanging out everywhere.
Whoopie looks like she had a fight with a leopard and the leopard won.   Okay, at least Whoopie wasn't wearing sneakers.
Angelica Houston.is such a classy tomato.  Love the stye, the color, but hate the silver vines, or whatever they are.
What was super ripe tomato, Sophia Loren thinking with this getup?  Add another ruffle?
Yes Penelope Cruz  could wear a paper bag and look great. This was one of our favorite gowns of the evening, and vintage too.
Fabulous color, and great look on  Natalie Portman.  We would have loved this color on Meryl Streep.
Loved Ann Hathaway's elegant look too.  Seems like white was the new black this year.
We love Kate Winslet's acting, but for a  cherry tomato, she dresses way too old.   We don't think this Yves St. Laurent number did anything for her.  Not sure it would do anything for anyone.  Although, maybe she and Goldie should exchange dresses?
Memo to SJP: you're not 20 something anymore.  The princess look with the pushed up boobs, needs to go.  We don't care that this is Dior Haute Couture.  What happend to our fun fashionista?
We loved this gown, and especially the red clutch that Taraji P. Henson wore.
Love the color on beautiful Slumdog actress Freida Pinto, but didn't love the dress. Now she would have looked good in the SJP princess gown!
What was Reese Witherspoon thinking?  The only thing worse than her dress was her matching eye make-up.
Mary Hart's gown looks like her lawn threw up.
Virginia Madsen is one red hot tomato!  Love it!
And here's what the cherry tomatoes and tomatoes in training wore
Finally, black, from Angelina Jolie, whom some fashion pundits said looked "boring".  Hello?  And her  emerald earings and ring were fabu.  Hope they're her own.
Amy Adams got our award for best jewlery of the night, too bad it overpowered the dress. Love the color.  Who says redheads can't wear red?
