From beauty products to grocery products, to restaurants and vacation spots, and everything in between, this is the place where tomatoes tell it like it is. Tomatoes up, or tomatoes down?
We were asked by the folks at Hello! Skinny Jeans to review their product. You may have heard of them, since they’ve been getting a lot of press from the likes of tons of different magazines and morning news shows, but are they Tomato worthy? They are supposed to be more slimming and flattering than any other pair of jeans. They are made with nylon, so they are stretchy when you put them on. We were told to do a plie’ to get into them. The inseams are drawn forward on the leg making it appear that there is less ‘real estate’ on the front of the leg. The fading and shading pattern on the jeans creates an optical illusion front and back to slim the leg, thigh and butt and finally, the size, shape and placement of the pockets are solely to make the butt appear smaller and shapelier. Here are some pictures in our reviewers in their designer jeans and then also in Hello! Skinny Jeans. Take a look at the pictures below-what do you think?
All three models are 5' 9" to 5’10” tall and we all tried a 37” inseam. I have no idea who these people are that would need a 37” inseam since they were all too, too long on us and we’re taller than the average tomato. That said, be sure to measure your inseam, because even with heels on, they were too long. This shouldn’t be reflective on the jeans, just our selection, so if you like them be sure to order the correct length. The jeans retail for about $178 and are available online at Hello!SkinnyJeans.
Model #1: "Really liked the look of them and they were very comfortable. No muffin top and felt like my butt had a nice shape. I would wear them with a belt, otherwise they will keep slipping down. I have several other designer jeans (7 for all mankind, Joe’s Jeans, Citizens of Humanity) that cost roughly the same price. I would say these fit better than most similarly priced designer denim. If you would choose to spend that much money on a pair of jeans, then I would try these."

Model #2: "I wasn't really comfortable in these jeans. You need a belt to hold them up (and I don't like belts) and they just felt restrictive. Although I do think my butt looks better in the Skinny Jeans."

Model #3: “The jeans were comfortable and did make my backside look better! I did like them, but they are out of my price range for jeans.”
