Everybody's Fine is just fine for the Holidays
Okay let's get this out of the way.  Everybody's Fine is predictable and a bit sappy which makes it a perfect feel good holiday movie.  And really, how could any movie with Robert DiNiro diasppoint?  And this one truly does not.  Plus it has the always effervesant Drew Barymore, the lovely Kate Beckinsale, and a really fine performance by Sam Rockwell.  And there's a great new song from Paul McCartney, I Want to Come Home in the soundtrack.

“EVERYBODY’S FINE,” a remake of Giuseppe Tornatore’s “Stanno Tutti Bene,” follows a widower (De Niro) who embarks on an impromptu road trip to reconnect with each of his grown children only to discover that their lives are far from picture perfect. Written and directed by Kirk Jones (“Waking Ned Devine”), Drew Barrymore, Kate Beckinsale and Sam Rockwell also star.  The film is produced by Gianni Nunnari, Ted Field, Vittorio Cecchi Gori and Glynis Murray.
