New York City is for the Dogs!
New Yorker's love their dogs and we welcome visiting dogs too. Here's a little guide to enjoying NYC with your pooch.
Dog Friendly Hotels
There are several dog friendly hotels in NYC like the Tribecca Grand, The Regency and all the W Hotels. In fact, the W’s have doggie water bowls outside their hotels and passing dogs often get biscuits too. And the Benjamin Hotel even has bathrobes for your pooch and gourmet meals. Doggie Walking Tours: There are several tour groups, liked DoggieTours.com that will organize walking tours for you and your pooch from Central Park, to the Village.
Dog Runs and Swimming Holes: Just because NYC dogs live in apartments, doesn’t mean they can’t run or swim. There are dog runs all over Manhattan and several places where your pooch can swim too. In fact, we love urbanhound.com which is a great resource for NYC doggies, and pooches in Chicago and San Francisco too. Getting around town with your dog: Some NYC cabs will stop and pick up an owner with a dog, but it’s at their discretion. But there are several pet taxi and chauffeur services that will get you anywhere. Here are two:
