Your first comment is probably “what planet is she from?” There are more snow predictions, it’s still cold out, and yes it is only February. But there is a sure way to help you through these dreary months and that is to go shopping! Treat yourself to a day of just taking it all in….the lack of markdown racks everywhere, pretty flowers and beautiful colors will embrace you and let you know that soon enough this cold winter will be behind you. The question I must ask you is …are you ready with your spring wardrobe? Have you shopped in your closet and edited the good from the bad? Well Tomatoes the time is now! When the first day of spring arrives you will be ready. I think we all held back on shopping last spring, so you may truly need to shop!
Beautiful colors of pink, boysenberry, red, orange , yellow, indigo and Mediterranean blues, and the rich neutral colors of soft beiges to khaki and olive green, grey’s from pearl grey to steel, and plenty of white. There is a very soft and romantic palette also which we are not going to discuss today. Too much information is not good for any Tomato!
The first item that you Must Have is a fabulous trench or a coat with attitude. The color is as important as the style. Get a fabulous bight color in orange or yellow or a rich neutral in beige, grey, khaki or white. (black is not an option here) We used to call some of these coats “raincoats” but now they are the piece that makes the outfit. Wear these coats with your skinny pants, trousers, your jeans, your pencil skirts or fun spring skirts and dresses. They are available at every price which is great for your budget. It is important to shop Saks, Bergdorf Goodman, Barneys, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom’s or Lord and Taylor so you appreciate the vision for this trend.
