Valentine's Day at Gracie Mansion
We had a fabulous group of tomatoes for a private tea and tour of Gracie Mansion.   This beautiful Federal style home was built in 1799 by the New York merdchant Archibald Gracie.  It became the official residence of the Mayor in 1942 when Fiorello LaGuardia moved in.   In 2002, it was restored and and transformed into the "People's House".  The tea included the best scones which came right out of the kitchen, and the tour of the beauitful rooms in their spectacular colors filled with antiques was just great. A highlight was the Mayor's bedroom and master bath. (Sorry,we weren't allowed to take photos there.)
