Caught in a time warp? Wondering what you need to do look modern and now? Here are 5 simple ways to Dump the Frump and look Fabulous over 40.

1.  Dated Sunglasses
Do your glasses look like antiques? When choosing new glasses ask your kid for help, or if you don’t have one, find one around to ask. They will tell you if what you’ve chosen is hip or not. Big is in, purchase some that are large with wide sides.

2.  Petite Purse
We’re seeing a lot of women over 40 out there with very tiny, dated looking purses. Ladies, wake up and get a fun new bag. Oversized is in and will perk up your outfit and hip factor instantly!

3.  Ugg, its Uggs
If you’re wearing Uggs, just know that so is every other teenager out there. Yes, they are comfortable, but there are other styles of boots that will achieve the same thing. Stay clear. At your age you don’t want to be competing with the younger crowd and losing.

4.  Skip the Jean skirt
Do you still have a jean skirt from years ago? Are you still wearing it? Toss it and get a great pair of dark jeans to look youthful and with it.

5.  The Tiny Necklace
We know… your husband, friend or parents,  gave you that tiny necklace and you still wear it for sentimental reasons. But it says old lady. This year, especially, is the year of the chunky and large necklace.  Store your dainty one in your jewelry box for now.
