Frustrated by your over 40 tummy? Diet and exercise don’t seem to help much and you don’t want get liposuction? Here are our top 5 tips for How to Dress to Hide your over 40 Tummy.

1.Flatten your Flabby Tummy with Shapewear
If you've resisted trying shapewear because you think it will feel like tight girdle, you need to try some on. Shapewear is the best solution for over 40 jelly belly. It's super stretchy, more lightweight and much thinner than ever before, making it super comfy. Check it out and look like you’ve  instantly dropped 10 pounds.

2. Wear a Fitted Jacket
When you have a flabby tummy the tendency is to hide it under a big boxy jacket, but that just makes you look like a big square box. Instead, try a jacket that skims your silhouette and nips in at the waist for a figure flattering look, no matter what your size.

3. Don’t Tuck in
Tucking your shirt in is going to put emphasis on your flabby tummy and make it look larger than it is like a barrel. Leaving your shirt out will help elongate your body and make you look thinner. But, once again, make sure your top is more fitted, rather than boxy. Another great tuck out option: an empire top that nips in under the bust and hangs straight down to hide your midlife flabby tummy.

4. Avoid Belts around your tummy

Belts buckled at the waist point are like pointing an arrow at the problem (whether you tuck in or tuck out!) Instead try a looser, lower slung belt that drapes gently drapes across the tummy and buckles at the hip. If your tummy is more of big pot than a pooch, forget wearing a belt at all and try to put the emphasis up top by wearing a pretty necklace.
