Valerie has been busy re-directing her career and has been developing a new talk show with former FBI undercover agent, Jack Garcia, who infiltrated the Gambino crime family using the name,
Jack Falcone. Jack wrote a best seller titled, Making Jack Falcone, and "came out" last year on a highly rated episode of 60 Minutes.
Together Jack and Valerie have a new talk show titled, Smaldone and Falcone: Crossing the Line. Their chemistry is unique, and physically they are very different. Valerie is petite, Jack at 6'4" and over 400 pounds is full figured. Catch them next week, Jan 18-22 on a new interactive online tv channel, Shovio.com
Their show promises to be fun, entertaining, informative and very, very different. Check out their website, www.smaldonefalcone.com

How you can help the Haitian cause and send a funny card at the same time
It's hard to feel like we have a world of promises awaiting us at the dawn of the new decade while an enormous number of people have died and thousands remain injured and homeless in an already challenged faraway land.
Celebrities are scrambling to send aid to Haiti and Americans are texting donations through their phones. The possibilities to help are endless, and here is one more way to assist the cause.
A great and unique card company is donating 50% of the proceeds of their sales through the end of January. Known as a funny card company, Nobleworks Inc. is taking the cause to send help to Haitians seriously.

"John Boy" is honored with a portrait at Tony's!
I had the great pleasure of hosting and producing my first portrait party of the new year honoring Richard Thomas at favorite theater district eatery, Tony's di Napoli, Richard Thomas (perennially known as "John Boy") is currently starring in Race, the new Mamet play on Broadway.
Richard is a humble, funny, and talented guy who recently expanded his performance repertoire to include "voice over artist extraordinaire" with his Mercedes Benz TV commercials. You go Richard!

New Off-Off Broadway Play hits home.
Finally, for a really well written and satisfying play about a Buffalo New York family during the Korean war conflict, head to Safe Home, an off-off Broadway play penned by a Broadway actor.
Sean Cullen, the writer, can be seen by night in the cast of the highly acclaimed Broadway classic South Pacific, and by day writing. (As a side note, Sean has been working on this particular
play for the past 16 years!)
Clearly a labor of love, Safe Home is a poignant look at a conflicted working class family.
Safe Home plays at the Women's Interart Center, 500 West 52nd Street through January 31st.
