And you’ll love this week’s accessory find, which will also help kids. Plus we’re trash talking today, with the scoop on the world’s best trash cans.

Dressing those Future Tomatoes
Our regular readers know that one of our favorite department stores in NYC is Lord &Taylor’s flagship store on Fifth Avenue. But what you may not know is that they also have a great kids department on the 7th floor. We just happened to be there this past Saturday for their Back to School Fashion Show that featured this adorable futureTomato. (And yes, she’s related --we love nepotism.) Here she is modeling this adorable Jessica McClintock dress (left) Great clothes for kids, and reasonably priced too! And they’ve just added kids’ shoes. Stay tuned for more news on the Fifth Avenue store which is undergoing a total makeover and a grand re-opening in October. And to think that only 3 years or so ago, there was talk of closing this venerable NYC landmark. Get in the know with Lord & Taylor.

Fun Accessories for a Good Cause too. These fun clip on cuff accessories from CufCakes let you add a touch of whimsy to your favorite capris and or pants. Lots of fun fabrics and you can even customize your own cuffs. But here’s the best part. They were designed by a Mom whose son has Type 1 diabetes and the company and concept were born from her desire to give to children's charities and help find a cure for him. 100% of all their profits go to a few charities including Juvenile Diabetes and Austims Speaks. But hurry before they’re sold out, because rumor has it they're in consideration for the "best of" Oprah show. You heard it here first Tomatoes. Get the details.

Trash Talk
Who would pay up to $200 for a kitchen trash can? Well quite a lot of people actually, which is made Simplehuman trash cans (plus other products) a huge success. The stepping mechanism glides up and down with no effort, and no slamming. Don’t want to pay that much? Well great news. They now have a plastic version for $49.00 (13 gal), featured here. We love their other products too.
