The Three Tomatoes Story
When it comes to marketing to fabulous ladies in the prime of their lives, you’ve no doubt noticed that marketers think we’re dead. We’re so far off their radar screen even the Hubbell telescope couldn’t bring us into focus. They seem to have forgotten, or worse, don’t care, that we still love clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry, make up, spas, and guys (husbands, lovers, and just plain old cute guys to ogle.) We know how to order a great wine with dinner, and cocktails without fruit. We own condos and homes (often more than one), buy new cars, and manage our own finances. We're the generation that's redefined every decade of our lives. And here’s the best part! We have the money to buy things that makes our lives simpler and easier, and make us look and feel better. Yet, to marketers, we’re the “invisible” women
We live, work, and play in New York City, the land of size zeros and smart, witty, great looking twenty and thirty something’s. (Admit it, we hate them!) Ever try to buy clothes in SOHO or Union Square if you’re “heaven-forbid” a size 8 or more? Ever walk into yet another trendy new bar in the City and try to get the attention of the gorgeous young bartender (he or she) who’s hanging out at the other end of the bar chatting up the cute guys? And aren’t you a little mistrustful of the reviews for products/restaurants/services/ music/ plays, written by hip twenty-something’s for hip wanna be’s?
So we decided it was high time to do something for us, and about us.The Three Tomatoes is a fun “free” e-newsletter. It will give you the real skinny on the best of everything in and out of NYC for fabulous, smart women like you and us. It will also include reviews of products or services we think you should know about and have passed the “Three Tomato” review panel. You’ll get the skinny on everything from the best facials in New York City, to thong underwear that are actually comfortable. And from time to time you’ll also get our opinions about plastic surgery, Botox, children, husbands, friends and whatever else may be coursing through our hormonally charged brains.
